For rooms that need morethan another leadership talk

Bringing a different conversation into the room

I speak to Boards, executive teams, leadership groups, and conference audiences navigating pressure, complexity, and change.

My work sits at the intersection of leadership, clarity, inner steadiness, and organisational performance. It is designed for rooms that are ready for a more honest conversation about what pressure does to judgment, culture, decision-making, and the quality of leadership itself.

This is not motivational speaking, nor is itwellbeing content repackaged for senior audiences.

It is thoughtful, grounded, high-level work that helps people think more clearly, reflect more honestly, and lead with greater precision in environments that rarely slow down.

The keynotes audiences keep talking about...

The Clarity Advantage

How leaders reduce internal noise and think clearly under pressure

A keynote for leaders navigating speed, complexity, and constant demand. This session explores how pressure distorts judgment, why stillness becomes a strategic advantage, and what it takes to lead with greater clarity when the stakes are high.

The Hidden Cost of Leadership Under Pressure

What constant acceleration is doing to judgment, culture, and performance

A candid keynote on the human and organisational cost of relentless pace. This talk names the pressures many leaders are carrying, the ways those pressures shape decision-making, and why the quality of leadership depends on more than output alone.

The Velocity of Stillness

Why stillness is not retreat from performance, but the condition that makes high-quality performance possible

A deeper, more reflective keynote on inner steadiness, discernment, and the paradox at the heart of modern leadership: the more speed is demanded of you, the more essential stillness becomes.

Leadership Beyond Performance

How clarity, humanity, and organisational health shape durable results

A keynote for organisations ready to move beyond thin, purely performance-driven leadership conversations. This session explores the connection between leadership behaviour, culture, human sustainability, and long-term organisational health.

Much of what is offered to leadership audiences sits at one of two extremes: commercially sharp but emotionally thin, or deeply human but disconnected from organisational reality.

My work bridges that divide, combining lived experience in senior leadership, transformation and board-level accountability with deep human, embodied and intuitive practice to bring both strategic credibility and human depth into the room.

That combination allows me to speak into rooms with both strategic credibility and human depth. This work  resonates because it speaks to what many leaders are already feeling, but have not yet had language for.

Retreat and offsite facilitation

Some conversations cannot happen well inside the normal pace of organisational life.

Retreats and offsites create a different kind of space — one where leaders can step back from immediacy, reflect more honestly, and reconnect with the deeper qualities that strong leadership depends on.

I facilitate retreats and offsites for Boards, executive teams, and senior groups who need that kind of space.

Retreats can include keynote-style input, facilitated dialogue, reflective exercises, embodied practices to support clarity and regulation, and deeper conversations about leadership, culture, alignment, and organisational health.

The aim is not to create a wellness experience.

It is to create a more intelligent, spacious, and strategically useful environment for leadership reflection and renewal.

Book Ian for your next event -  and bring a different conversation into the room

If you are planning a keynote, executive offsite, leadership retreat, or senior team gathering and want something more thoughtful, grounded, and strategically relevant than a standard leadership talk, I would be glad to explore it with you.

Conference keynotes

For conferences, forums, and leadership gatherings that need substance, depth, and relevance — not generic inspiration.

Executive offsites

For Boards and senior teams needing space to step back, think clearly, and have more honest conversations about what is shaping performance, alignment, and decision-making.

Leadership retreats

For groups seeking a more spacious, reflective environment in which deeper questions of leadership, clarity, and organisational direction can be explored.

Facilitated workshops

For organisations wanting an interactive experience tailored to the specific pressures, tensions, and decisions their leaders are navigating.

Fireside Chats

Intimate, thought-provoking conversations that bring fresh perspective to the questions that matter most.

Board Strategy Meeting

Focused strategic conversations that help Boards align priorities, challenge assumptions and make better decisions together.

What audiences take away

Whether an informal fireside chat or a structured strategic workshop, audiences leave with more than a moment of inspiration.

They gain a clearer language for some of the hidden pressures shaping modern leadership, and a deeper understanding of how speed, stress and constant demand can influence judgment, perception and performance.

Ian’s work invites people to recognise the internal noise that can cloud good thinking, to widen their perspective, and to consider more honestly what the way they are leading may be costing both themselves and the people around them.

Most importantly, they leave with practical ways to create greater clarity, steadiness and capacity in the midst of demanding environments — and a renewed sense of what more grounded, effective leadership can look like. This is work that stays with people because it does more than motivate. It gives shape and language to something real.

Ian's most in demand keynote is
 The Velocity of Stillness

The Velocity of Stillness explores the paradox at the heart of modern leadership: the faster the world moves, the more important it becomes to know when to slow down.

Ian challenges the assumption that constant speed creates better performance, revealing how stillness can sharpen judgement, widen perspective and ultimately help leaders move forward with greater clarity and precision.

The most expensive conversations in business are often the ones that never happen.
